We can choose/have the power/are capable to embrace/learn from/accept our past, recognizing both/understanding that/acknowledging our strengths and weaknesses. By cultivating compassion/practicing forgiveness/seeking understanding, we can begin to heal/move forward/find peace. The path may be difficult/long/uncertain, but with time/patience/effort, the shadows of regret/burden of the past/weight of our choices can dim/fade/lessen.
